Back to my roots
Athens, Greece
The spiral started here. Not as a shape I designed — as one I grew up with. In the stone, the light, the way things are built to last and worn anyway.
This shoot was a way of going back. The Acropolis hill. The Herodion, where people have been sitting on marble watching performances since the second century. Streets narrow enough that you have to slow down.
That's how design works. You carry one place into another. The materials move, the shapes cross borders, the references layer. Eventually the line between where something comes from and where it's going stops mattering. It's all one conversation — and these are the same handmade sterling silver pieces I craft in my Seattle studio.
