A spiral in oxidized sterling silver, suspended from 14k gold filled wire with small gold beads marking the turns. The dark silver and warm gold work in contrast — the oxidized surface absorbs light while the gold catches it. Each spiral is cast from wax, so no two twist in exactly the same way.

This design is part of the Spiral series, inspired by one of the oldest symbol that is encountered in many civilizations across the globe. Especially for Ancient Greeks, in whose language the very word came into being (“σπείρα” - spira), this vertical winding representation was above all a symbol of life force, a dynamic movement, symbolizing time, growth, continuity, the rhythm of breathing.

When used as a personal talisman it is believed that the spiral pattern subconsciously helps our mind to accept change, and in essence the very evolution of life itself.
